Valentine’s Day is fast approaching, and with lockdown measures still in place, your go-to Valentine’s date night might not be an option this year. But that doesn’t mean you can’t plan something special from home – it just means you need to be a little more creative! Creativity not your forte? The KeyPlus cupid is here to help…
Foodie heaven
If your loved one is a bit of a foodie and you’d normally head out to your favourite restaurant, why not see if they’re offering a ‘cook at home’ menu or a take-out service? If they’re not, how about ordering in from your favourite take away, or if you’re a budding chef, cook up a storm in the kitchen?
To make the evening feel extra special, host a champagne reception in the living room, and print your own menus for the dining table. Light some candles, put on some background music and you’ll be transported from the kitchen-diner to the restaurant you’ve been dreaming of!
Film buff
If your partner is more of a film buff, why not plan a themed night based on their favourite movie? Or take it in turns to pick a film if you’ve got different tastes. Set up a snack bar in the kitchen to visit throughout the course of the evening and indulge in some classic cinema snacks. Popcorn, pick ’n’ mix sweets… simple ways to make the night feel more special.
Games night
If you like to keep the brain ticking, why not host a games night? From the classics like Monopoly to an escape room style board game, pick a couple and make a night of it. If ‘tech’ is more your style, dust of the spare controller and pick a Playstation or Xbox game to play together. Whether it’s a co-operative game or a battle for first place, enjoy some quality time together to celebrate your love.
No interruptions…
Whether it’s the kids competing for your attention, or an alarm activation at work, even the best laid plans can come undone. To make sure there’s no interruptions on your special night (or any night), we provide an alarm response service, and while we can’t take care of the kids, we can respond to alarm activations on your behalf, meaning you can enjoy night after night of uninterrupted bliss!
